Eugenides Foundation

The 2nd International Conference on Maritime Education, organized by Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy, will take place at the Auditorium of Eugenides Foundation. The Eugenides Foundation is an independent, private, non-profit foundation with a mission to enhance scientific, technological and technical education of the Greek youth and to promote science and technology. It was established in 1956 in accordance with the provisions of the will left by our national benefactor Eugene Eugenides. In a learning environment built to the highest specifications, the Eugenides Foundation welcomes the future through a number of educational and recreational activities with a view to promoting and disseminating science and technology to the Greek people.

Nowadays, the Eugenides Foundation is an internationally acknowledged technological and educational multi-center. Its modern convention centre-auditorium, fully renovated in 2016 and with easy access from the city centre and the southern suburbs of Athens, was one of the first conference facilities in Greece. With a capacity of 420 people, modern audiovisual equipment and experienced as well as specialized technical support, it is an ideal venue for conferences, presentations and official events. The auditorium is accessible to people with mobility impairment and disabled people.
